The old cottage, built out of clay-brick and mud, was constructed in the late 1800’s. It initially served as a schoolroom for the local children. Until its recent renovation into luxury rooms, this old building also safely stored hidden antiques.

If these walls could talk you would hear stories about the Anglo Boer War, an injured English soldier, Winston Churchill’s secret meetings and silly tales about a baboon who scared visitors. There is even a fable about how the crown prince of Lesotho ran away and hid on the farm under a false name.
